Buying Non-Plastic Wheat-Based Drinking Straws Builds Homes in Bangladesh!

Helping DS to build more homes for the world’s most vulnerable climate displaced communities in Bangladesh just got easier. Thanks to the wonderful efforts of Green Box Eco Shop in Sorrento, Australia a portion of their proceeds from the sale of Wheat-based drinking straws will be donated to the One House, One Family at a time project – OHOF. Working with our partners YPSA in Chittagong, Bangladesh, the OHOF project is the world’s first effort to crowdfunding the construction of news homes on new land for highly vulnerable families displaced because of the effects of climate change. We are now in the middle of Phase Two of the project and seeking the funds to construct an additional five homes.
