2009 and 2010 were busy years for Displacement Solutions.  We have deployed HLP experts to a variety of countries: Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burma, DR Congo, Fiji, Kiribati, Maldives, Thailand, Tuvalu and others. They have worked on a number of important and vexing issues within the displacement field – from climate change-induced displacement to war crimes and the home, disability and displacement to an Initiative on the Pinheiro Principles. We have developed intensive training and course materials on various HLP rights themes, published a range of cutting edge books and articles and have been leading international efforts to acquire land for people displaced due to climate change.
